So many possible questions could be asked about this picture.

Who is the artist?
What is he/she trying to say?
What was their inspiration?

But the only thing that went through my mind
Was that there are a lot of people now walking around with only one shoe
(though I did spy a couple of pairs)

And quite unexpected seeing as there was no art festival happening at the time. I guess someone just wanted to nail painted shoes to power poles.
