Toppled tower

The Sydney Harbour control tower at Barangaroo.

Built in 1974 to allow 24/7 supervision of shipping in Sydney Harbour after two ships collided in 1972.

The public complained.
It was an eyesore.

It was closed in 2011 and was marked for demolition when harbour control moved to Port Botany.

The public complained.
It was of historical significance.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I do appreciate each and every one and will do my best to reply. I do apologise for the comment moderation I've been forced to put into place thanks to Mr Dark's spamming. It was not so much the spamming that bothered me - it was his appalling grammar.
